The first team were home last weekend to Anchor. In a match we controlled for long periods, the lads came out 2-1 winners with goals from Phelim Gallagher and David O'Brien.

Both the second and third teams were contesting the Gwyn Jones Cup quarterfinals. The second team were away to Shamrock Rovers. In a tight game that went to extra-time, both sides could not be separated, with the match ending in a 2-2 draw. The goalscorers for us were Terry Carey and John Kavanagh. The lads won the penalty shoot-out 5-4 and progressed to the semis.

The third team were home to Park Hotspur. In a game that the lads controlled from start to finish, they came out deserved 4-1 winners to also progress to the semis. The sorers were Darren O'Mahoney with two, Damien Woraiski and Paddy Callery. Let's hope the lads can stay apart for the semis.

The Under-12 'A' team made the short trip down to Kilmuckridge to play St. Joseph's in the Division 2 league game on Saturday last and came away with all three points.

The lads found their stride very quickly and passed the ball around, playing some lovely football, but they couldn't find their way past a very good St. Joseph's 'keeper.

We kept up the attacking football and it paid off with a bit of Jordan Synnott magic being finished off by Aaron Heffernan's pace and finishing. The lads kept pushing for the second but got in each other's way so many times until Gracjan Dettlaff found the back of the net with a thunderous strike.

With half-time approaching and all the lads trying to get on the scoresheet, St. Joseph's hit us on the counter-attack to pull a goal back (2-1).

A couple of changes were made at halftime and our lads went out a little more organised. They kept up the pressure on St. Joseph's but again their 'keeper was outstanding in goal.

We were camped in the St. Joesph's half and having shot after shot going everywhere but into the net until Jordan Synnott got his name on the scoresheet. All in all it was a very good performance from our 12s who have got four wins on the bounce now, and Cian Byrne, Ciarán Finn and Jordan Synnott earned a special mention in the 3-1 win.

Team: Corey Chambers, Seán Walsh, Cian Byrne, Cormac Byrne, Ciarán Finn, Aaron Heffernan, Dion Leeson, Gracjan Dettlaff, Conor Travers, Jordan Synnott, Conor Brennan. Subs. - Jordan Doyle, Ryan Mooney, Lee Cullen.
