Rathnure notched the first score 13 minutes from the start when Oonagh Doyle netted. St. Martin's levelled on the 23rd when a free was awarded and centre-back Sarah O'Connor sent her shot all the way to the net.

The secondhalf proved to be a very exciting affair with both sides playing well. Rathnure were awarded a free in the fourth minute which was taken by Lizzie Whiteley, and Aoife Guiney picked up the incoming ball and struck it over the bar for a well-taken point.
St. Martin's 'keeper Tara Doyle made one of many fine saves in the tenth minute, and Rathnure's Oonagh Doyle got her stick to the rebounding ball but sent it wide. Tara Doyle was called on to make another save in the 14th minute, but this time Rathnure's Andrea Creane got her stick to the ball and hit it into the net.
Sarah O'Connor pointed for St. Martin's from a '45, and three minutes later she took another '45 which ended up in the net, leaving a goal between the sides. Both dug deep and St. Martin's advanced down the field where Karen O'Neill took a shot at goal which went in past the 'keeper to equalise.
Both teams tried hard to get a winning score but time ran out and, despite some confusion at the end with Rathnure believing they were a point ahead, the game was confirmed a draw and the sides will have to do it all again.

Rapparees 2-2, Horeswood 1-3: The Under-12 Roinn 3 final was held in near-perfect weather conditions in Oylegate, with the Rapparees winning with a two-point margin from a very spirited Horeswood side.
It took the Enniscorthy side a while to settle as Horeswood piled on the pressure in the opening ten minutes.
