Jim reaches the 'A' grade

Jim O'Neill with some of the spoils of his success.
SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD Jim O'Neill from Bolinaspect, Camolin, was invited last year to ride for Philip McCullough and his team (Moto-One Suzuki TAS) in the Adult Grade B class.
He won three out of the four Grade B championships he entered, namely the MX2 Irish championship, Ulster Open championship and Southern Centre MX2 championship, as well as coming third in the Ulster 125 championship.
Jim was the first-ever southern rider to win the Ulster Open championship, and no other rider has ever won all of these championships in the one year.
Jim would like to thank Philip McCullough and the rest of the team for their help and advice, and for giving him this opportunity. He would also like to thank Ailbhe and the staff at the Ashdown Park Hotel and Leisure Centre for their help and encouragement in keeping his fitness up.
Jim has progressed to a Grade A rider this year and naturally, with the current recession, he would appreciate all the help he can get to keep his ambition alive of becoming a professional motorcross rider and taking part in international Grand Prix.
