Castlebridge-Crossabeg Area honoured
A NUMBER of officials from the Castlebridge-Crossabeg Community Games Area travelled to Ballinasloe recently for the national finals of the Area Volunteer awards.
The Area were representing the county for the second year in a row after they took the 'best Area in county' title as well as the Adult Volunteer award (Adrian Carr) and Youth Volunteer award (Sarah Shovlin).
In addition to those three awards, they were also surprised to take the 'Most Consistent Area' award. Congratulations to all involved.
This Area works with a small group of dedicated officers and can call on the services of other organisations in the parishes who give willingly of their time and premises.
