Bunclody venue for indoor soccer finals

THE COUNTY model-making competition is now over, and on Sunday next, the county finals of the indoor soccer for boys will take place in Bunclody.
Then it is the start of a very busy season ahead for Community Games personnel and competitors alike. By now panel sheets for the boys' indoor soccer competitions should have been downloaded from the Community Games website - www.communitygames.ie. - and forwarded to either Eilish Kehoe, Rosewood House, Bulgan, Glynn, Enniscorthy, or Colette Steele, Bulgan, Glynn, Enniscorthy.
Managers sending in the panel sheets for the indoor soccer competitions should note that the county has decided that they can forward a panel sheet with the full list of players or just put five names on it and on the day of competition add the other three names. But the final three children must have their birth certs. with them on the day, otherwise they will not be allowed to play.
This change, which is on a trial basis, only applies to indoor soccer and not to any other event.
In regard to the solo events - solo singing, recitation, solo modern dance and solo music - there is still time for Areas to forward entries. The closing date for these events is January 31.
Please also note that the semi-finals of the Under-15 boys' handball competitions must be played on or before January 24. The date had not been fixed at the time of the draws.
All athletes who have already qualified for the national finals of the crosscountry events are asked to attend for training on Sunday next, January 22, at Good Counsel College in New Ross. The training will commence at 11 a.m. sharp. These training sessions will be held on a regular basis from now on and all athletes are asked to give their full commitment.

Sunday, January 22: county indoor soccer (boys) competitions in Bunclody, commencing at 9.30 a.m. with registration.
Sunday, January 30: county handball finals.
Monday, January 31: closing date for receipt of entries for solo music, singing, dancing, recitation.
Sunday, February 5: county indoor soccer (girls) competitions in Bunclody, commencing with registration at 9.30 a.m.
