Gorey girls take titles in Leinster tournament
JUST ONE week after performing so well at the Juvenile blitz in Enniscorthy, Wexford players Ciarán Lancaster, Declan and James Carroll, Eoghan and Micheál Kennedy, Elma and Aime Butler, Jack Nolan and Max Bursey were off to the National Badminton Centre in Dublin to compete in the Leinster 'B' tournament.

BACK IN October, Ryan Shannon competed in the Leinster Schools swimming championships. He represented Ramsgrange Community School in the 100m breaststroke and the 200m individual medley.
Powerful event
SOME OF Wexford's finest powerlifters will be in action this Saturday in the Naomh Eanna G.A.A. complex in Gorey. They will be competing in the I.D.F.P.A. Single Lift championships in both the equipped and unequipped sections, and it promises to be a tremendous event for fans of the sport.

ONE OF the best and most competitive inter Primary Schools team showjumping championships took place at The Ballyrafter Centre, Lismore, Co. Waterford. Five teams got the elusive zero score after the first two rounds and two were left on just four faults.

THE WOODSMEN Horseshoe Club held their A.G.M. in Sinnott's of Bunclody recently. The Chairman, Liam Bond, opened the meeting by thanking everyone including the sponsors and Paddy Kavanagh for the use of the field.

GOREY NATIVE Thomas O'rafferty picked up the biggest award at the recent South East Stages Rally awards night. The talented rally driver scooped the overall award in the club championship for the second year in a row after scoring maximum points in all but one round of the 2011 championship.
