Two new faces added to Under-21 backroom team
TONY DEMPSEY has been ratified for a third year as Wexford Under-21 hurling manager.
Having lost to Dublin in successive years at the provincial final stage, it's no surprise that the Davidstown-courtnacuddy clubman has been offered a third shot at the provincial title.
He will be joined by his selectors of the past two years, Paul Dempsey (Oulart-the Ballagh) and Garry Laffan (Glynn-barntown).
Two additions to the backroom team are Tom Foley (Rathnure) and Johnny Doyle, formerly of Ballyhogue and now with Glynn-barntown.
The backroom team for the county Intermediate hurlers have also been confirmed.
Oulart-the Ballagh's Paul Dempsey will act as manager, and will have Darrin Sane (St. Martin's) and Colin Furlong (O'loughlin Gaels, Kilkenny) as his selectors.
They are also in charge of the Wexford Development Squad, which will provide the backbone of the Intermediate side for their provincial final clash with Kilkenny.
The side continued their preparations with another beneficial challenge game against Wicklow on Friday night last when they won out by 220 to 0-16, having trailed by 0-12 to 0-8 at the interval.
