Ryan 'thought about' Waterford Senior hurling manager's post
WEXFORD FOOTBALL boss Jason Ryan revealed last week that he might have taken the Waterford Senior hurling manager's post when it was vacant last October.
The De La Salle clubman was rumoured to be in the running for the position before Michael Ryan was given the job, and Ryan has remained with the Slaneysiders for a fifth season.
'The easiest thing for me to say without causing any trouble is I thought about the job,' Ryan told 'The Examiner'.
'It was a big decision, any decision is when you're involved with a group. You want to make sure you're not outstaying your job and that you're the right man for the job.
'It was a case of getting it right in my own head.
'There are plenty of managers who get different opportunities and offers and I had to weigh everything up.'
