Fundraiser for Wexford teams

Wednesday July 28 2010

THERE WILL be a county jersey night in The Centenary Stores, Wexford, on Thursday, August 5, as a fundraiser for the Wexford Senior and Intermediate camogie teams who have both qualified for the AllIreland semi-finals.

This promises to be a great night and with tickets at only €10 it is also great value.

The ticket includes a barbeque, live music with Hot Fuss from Galway followed by two DJ's until 2 a.m., so dust down your county colours where-ever you are from and come and join us in The Stores.

Doors open at 9 p.m. with the barbeque from 9 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.

Admission with ticket is valid until 10.30 p.m., so be sure to be there on time as no food will be served after this time and there will be an additional charge if you arrive after 10 p.m.

Tickets will be available through your camogie club or on the night at 9 p.m.

All is in readiness now for the All-Ireland Senior semi-finals after the draw was made in Croke Park on Monday evening.

Wexford will take on Kilkenny in a repeat of last Saturday's clash in the group stages, with the game taking place in Nowlan Park at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 14.

That encounter will be preceded by the meeting of titleholders Cork and Galway in the first penultimate round clash which has a 2 p.m. throw-in.

Meanwhile, one week later, the Wexford Intermediate team will take on Limerick in their All-Ireland semi-final at a venue and time to be announced.

Both panels are putting in a huge effort in training at the moment, so any help you can give by attending the jersey night would be deeply appreciated by players and mentors alike.
