REALT NA MARA Cul camp: August 9 to 13. Hurling/football camp in Ballygarrett. Book online at www.gaa.ie or contact Jimmy Furlong (086356360).

The Under-14 boys had a great win away to Taghmon on Thursday night last by 1-8 to 1-4 on a miserable, wet night in very difficult conditions. Scorers were Jack Doyle (1-0), Dylan Sweeney (0-3), Mikey Burke (0-2), David Doran, Cathal Dunbar and Cormac Moore (0-1 each).

The Under-14 girls played their second game of the season on Thursday last, having received two walkovers in the previous rounds. They travelled to Clongeen with 12 girls on a miserable, wet evening and played some great football in the unfavourable conditions. The end result unfortunately did not go the girls' way, with the opposition having a number of substitutes to bring on.

Team: Dawn Freegrove, Aisling Lyons, Shauna Lawless, Molly Carlton, Megan Wiley, Erica Whitaker, Sophie Donnelly, Georgia Warren, Elaine Hall, Róisín Timmons, Katie Stanley, Helen Bolton-Lee.

Ladies' Minor training is now starting. Please contact Tommy (087-9693443).

Gaelic for Mothers: a new initiative sees ladies playing football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment. This is for ladies who don't want to play in competitive games and who want to enjoy the craic. You don't have to be a mother. Come along every Wednesday from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m and bring a friend. It promises to be great fun.

For all outdoor activities contact Brendan Hobbs and Mary Cooper, and for all indoor training etc.

The Under-10 Kent Steel football league has started and we will be out every Wednesday for the rest of the month. The Pat Neville Go Games will also be played shortly.

Thanks to all who supported our latest table quiz in the clubhouse. DUFFRY ROVERS The Under-16 football team lost out to Bannow-Ballymitty on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-10. Wednesday night was supposed to see our Minor hurlers play Ferns but unfortunately the appointed referee failed to make an appearance. The game was postponed until a later date.

On the same night our Under-10 footballers also played Ferns in Coolree but unfortunately Ferns went home the winning team. On Thursday night our Junior 'C' footballers took on St. Joseph's in Páirc Charman in the Group A championship game but again the Duffry lost by a slight margin of three points (2-7 to 0-10).

Fixtures for the following week include Minor football tonight against Cuchulainns in Coolree at 7.30p.m., Under-14 hurling against Naomh Eanna on Thursday night also in Coolree at 7.30 p.m. On this Sunday, July 25, our Senior footballers take on the Shelmaliers in Wexford Park at 5 p.m. Finally, on Thursday evening next our Under-12 hurling team play Ferns in Ferns at 7.30 p.m.

On another note, in association with the Jack and Jill Foundation, our under-age club officers are looking for your old phones. 'Free jerseys for old phones'. We are looking for at least 335 old phones, and in return the Foundation will give us a full set of jerseys. Old phones can be given to any member of the committee. HWH-BUNCLODY Two of our football teams won league finals in St. Patrick's Park on Sunday last. The Intermediates had a 2-11 to 1-7 win over Kilrush in a rain-soaked venue. After early goals from Darren Kehoe and Keith O'Hara, the result never seemed in doubt, but Kilrush never gave up battling and tried hard until the end.

Team: Patrick Kavanagh; Enda Slevin, John Atkinson, Matty Byrne; James Moorhead, Pat Jackman, Ollie Connors; Conor Kinsella, Colm Farrell; Darren Kehoe, Keith O'Hara, Stephen Sheehan; David Reck, Peter Atkinson, James Kehoe. Subs. - Mylie Connors, Martin Atkinson, Fiachra Cleere, Paul Finn. Best were Darren Kehoe and Ollie Connors.

The Junior 'B' footballers had a 2-7 to 0-4 win over Craanford on Sunday last before the Intermediate game. In an entertaining affair in difficult conditions, Bunclody triumphed after two goals from Barry Mernagh.

Team: John Carton; John Jackman, Christy Atkinson, Stephen Finn; Anthony Doyle, Ronan Byrne, Shane Kehoe; Niall Guinan, Paul Atkinson; John Connors, John Paul Connors, Ciarán Roberts; Mylie Berry, Mick Mahon, Barry Mernagh.

Our Under-16s played two championship games recently. On a damp and drizzly evening in Clongeen, this game very quickly slipped away from Bunclody. Slack marking helped Clongeen to score a number of soft goals and the belief quickly drained away from us. The most competitive period came in the last ten minutes of the first-half when we outscored Clongeen by two points to one to leave the half-time score at 5-3 to 0-3 in favour of Clongeen.

A couple of positional switches and the introduction of Danny O'Brien and Roy Hudson made the second-half slightly more competitive, but Clongeen ran out easy winners by 7-6 to 0-7. Although we were beaten by a huge margin, the scoreline flatters Clongeen somewhat as they scored only six points but, having said that, you would not expect our return of seven points to beat anyone.

When we engaged Clongeen they looked very ordinary but we did not have the belief or the stomach to do this for long periods and for the most part we were content to be second best in a most disappointing display. Best for Bunclody were Shane Doyle, Conor Crean and Seán Kenny.

Team: Páuric Sinnott; Seán Hogan, Shane Doyle, Jamie Wilson; Seán Nolan, Ronán Roberts, Conor Crean; Martin Steemers, Seán Kenny; Matty Doran, Owen Dunne, Billy Kelly; Cormac Kelly, Simon Black, Eoghan Murphy. Subs. - Roy Hudson and Danny O'Brien for Murphy and Black.

Bunclody travelled to their next fixture with only the bare 15 as a result of injuries and holidays but tore into the opposition from the start and put the first couple of points on the board. Jamie Cowman was tormenting the Kilmore defence all night and when he scored the first of his three goals, Bunclody eased into a comfortable lead. The score at half-time was 3-7 to 1-6 in favour of Bunclody and when we got the first score of the second-half it stretched our lead to eight.

Kilmore were in no mood for quitting though and hit four points on the trot followed by a converted penalty to bring the margin down to one. Kilmore now had all the momentum and when Bunclody full-back Shane Doyle, who was having a fine game, was dismissed for backchat the signs looked ominous. Owen Dunne took over at full-back and Páuric Sinnott totally commanded the half-back line to drive Bunclody forward.

We outscored Kilmore 1-7 to 0-1 for the remainder of the match aided by some heroic defending on our own goal line. This really was a very good team performance where all 15 held up their own position but special mention must be made of Páuric Sinnott, Seán Kenny and Jamie Cowman who scored 3-4.

Team: Seán Hogan; Eoghan Murphy, Shane Doyle, Jamie Wilson; Roy Hudson, Páuric Sinnott, Billy Kelly; Matty Doran, Seán Kenny; Shane Healy, Ronán Roberts, Cormac Kelly; Simon Black, Owen Dunne, Jamie Cowman.

Best of luck to Dylan Kehoe in his recovery from a back operation. MONAGEER-BOOLAVOGUE In very bad conditions of wind and rain, we played in the Intermediate championship against Geraldine O'Hanrahans on Sunday last in Killurin. Goals win games and certainly this was to be the difference between the sides at the break with the opposition leading by a single major.

After playing against the elements in the first-half, it was expected that we would rise in the second-half. However, the Geraldines extended their lead to six at one stage but fair dues to the lads as we fought back but could not reduce the gap to less than three points. We are still not out of the competition but improvement will have to come in order to advance.

Monageer-Boolavogue camogie team lined out against Blackwater on Monday evening last. Blackwater, having come up from Intermediate ranks last year, were determined to beat Monageer on home turf. An understrength Monageer team, with injuries and holidays, struggled in the first-half and Blackwater led at half-time by two goals. A great first-half performance was given by Amy Walsh at wing-back, making her Senior debut for Monageer.

Monageer made a few positional changes in the second-half and looked a much better side, but they could not finish off a few chances to put the scores on the board. The team battled hard but with Blackwater making the scores look a lot easier, they finished out the game as winners.

Team: Brenda Murphy; Emma Dwyer, Anne-Marie Daly, Johanna Breen; Amy Walsh, Catherine O'Loughlin, Julie Gahan; Síona Nolan, Anna Murphy; Mary Breen, Rose-Marie Breen, Sinéad Kehoe; Niamh Kehoe, Claire Kane, Hannah Walshe. Subs. - Orla Hernan, Orla Gahan.

There is one match left to play in the group stages and with all teams having a win under their belt, whoever wins the next games will qualify for the quarter-finals. Monageer face Ferns in the last group match on Tuesday next, and hopefully with a full squad will put up a good fight.

In the under-age section the Under-14s beat St. Pat's in the football championship. Brothers Ben and Robin Doyle accounted for three of our side's four goals as the lads won on a scoreline of 4-2 to 2-5.

The Minors played Bunclody in the championship last week and went down by two points. In a very competitive and fast-flowing game, we were somewhat unlucky to go down at the final whistle. Shoud these sides meet again later in the championship and if we improve, it will certainly be a game not to miss.

The club lotto was drawn this week and once again there was no winner for the jackpot of €3,400. Tommy Breen, Crane, and Catherine Doran both had three numbers and shared the prize money.

The Cul Camp will again take place in Monageer on the week of August 9-13. People are urged to forward their registrations either online, access which can be gained from the Wexford G.A.A. website, or simply get an entry form from one of the coaches. CASTLETOWN-L MELLOWS Congratulations to the Senior footballers who had a one-point victory in a very tight game over Kilanerin on Saturday in Wexford Park in the Premier league final.

Our Minor hurling team lost out to Blackwater on Wednesday last in Tomnahely by 413 to 0-16.

Our two Under-10 football teams were out on Wednesday last in the Kent Stainless Steel competition. One team suffered a defeat against Carnew and our other team won over Craanford. This competition is going well and seems to be enjoyed by all players.

The Under-14 girls' football team played away to Kilanerin during the week. It was a miserable night for football, but that didn't deter the girls from playing some great stuff. In the end, they won convincingly on a scoreline of 7-10 to 1-1 - a great team performance.

Best of luck to Yvonne Hoey in representing the club on the Wexford Under-12 girls' football panel, who are playing at half-time of the Leinster Senior final. I'm sure she will enjoy the experience.

The Under-12 camogie team travelled to Bannow-Ballymitty on Wednesday last and came away with a victory of 5-0 to 3-0. Well done to all girls on a great team performance and if they win their next match on Wednesday versus Oylegate they are in the championship semi-final.

Well done to all the girls on their great win versus Ferns on Wednesday last, finishing up their championship campaign.

Thanks to all the parents and guardians for their support and patience throughout the season. There will hopefully be a few blitzes during the Summer and training will continue every Tuesday.

A reminder to all that Castletown-Liam Mellows will be hosting the Wexford VHI G.A.A. Cul Camp 2010 from July 26-30 in Tomnahely from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

The cost per child is €55 and each child receives a Cul Camp jersey, shorts, socks and bag. The camp is open to all boys and girls age between 7-13 years. Book online at www.gaa.ie or call county co-ordinator Jimmy Furlong on 086-8361447 to secure your place. RAPPAREES-STARLIGHTS There was another good win in the championship for our Junior footballers, beating Shelmaliers in St. Patrick's Park on Friday evening last by 5-12 to 6-2 with outstanding performances from many of our players. Great scores came from Paul Byrne, Tony Mackey and man of the match Oisín Carley, and it was nice to see that Eoin Quigley can notch them up effectively in both codes.

Veteran Damian Mahon came on as a substitute and his years of experience had a definite influence on the final result. Following some controversial refereeing decisions during the game, could I perhaps suggest to the Referees' committee that they take a more proactive stanch on the new rules and come out and give presentations to the clubs - it couldn't do any harm and it might prevent a lot of argument and disagreement on the pitch.

Our Junior 'B' football game against Bunclody was deferred from Friday night last to this coming Thursday at 7.30 p.m. in Bunclody. Our Senior footballers will be playing St. Anne's in their second round on Sunday, July 25, at 2 p.m. in Oylegate and can I take this opportunity to wish all the very best of luck - go raibh an t-ádh libh go léir.

It was also a good week for under-age football in the club with our Juvenile footballers beating Adamstown by 0-17 to 2-5 on Monday night last, our Under-14 footballers beating Bunclody and our Minor footballers recording an excellent victory over GlynnBarntown on Saturday evening by 2-12 to 16 with a good performance from all.

Most notable were Timmy Dwyer, Jamie Fox and Colin Nolan. Our Under-12 hurlers were beaten by Naomh Eanna on Tuesday night.

With the county out of all competition it will be full steam ahead in all codes for the next couple of weeks and I would call on all members to check when matches are on and come out and show your full support for all our players.

Don't forget on our social calendar we have our annual camogie fundraiser on the August Bank Holiday weekend with entertainment on Saturday, August 31, by Lar and Matty.

This promises to be a great night so don't forget to put it in your diary. And not forgetting our younger members for the long weekend - our next under-age disco is our Bank Holiday disco on Thursday, July 29, with music by the popular D.J. Dave. All are welcome.

And finally commiserations to Jason Ryan, our own Jason Russell and the county footballers on their defeat to Cork at the weekend - we would all have wished it could have ended better but thanks for the run! BUFFERS ALLEY All roads lead to the Wexford Summer Shed Fest which will be held in the Community Arena in Buffers Alley on Saturday, August 21. Donna Marie Sludds, of 'You're a Star' fame, with her band will be the headline act in this music festival supported by a host of local artists. The 'Pig Roast' and barbeque will satisfy any appetite and there will be a late bar.

This will be the first event held at the new arena and it will give everybody a chance to marvel at the vast structure which promises to be such a fantastic resource for the local community groups.

Tickets are priced at a very reasonable €20 and are available from any club member or you can reserve a ticket by calling 0863740625.

The Intermediate camogie team following their win over Naomh Éanna last week now play St. Martin's in Buffers Alley tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30 p.m.

This game will be preceded by the Juvenile camogie game between Buffers Alley and the Rapparees at 6.30 p.m.

The Minor footballers travel to Piercestown tonight for their game versus St. Martin's. Tomorrow night (Thursday) the Under-14 hurling team are away to Glynn-Barntown and on Friday night, July 23, the Minor hurlers play Glynn-Barntown in Camolin at 7.30 p.m.

Well done to the Junior and Junior 'B' hurling teams who both recorded success in their league finals last week.

The Junior 'B' team had a win over Crossabeg-Ballymurn on Tuesday night last in St. Patrick's Park on a scoreline of 2-9 to 2-8. Scores came from Barry Whelan (0-7), David Moran (1-1), Paul Gahan (1-0), Kevin Hall (01).

On the previous Sunday the Junior team defeated Our Lady's Island by 2-14 to 0-10 in the Division 1 final played in Ferns. This game was very close up to half-time but on the resumption of play the Monamolin/Kilmuckridge men raised their performance and took a lead that the Island couldn't catch up on.

Scorers: Paul O'Leary (0-7), Keith Burke (11), Matty Foley (1-0), Jim Hughes (0-3), Páuric Roche, Paul Doyle, Kevin Roche (0-1 each).

The July Club Development Draw will take place in the clubhouse on Tuesday, July 27, at 9.30 p.m. and all promoters are reminded to bring back their cards.
