MONAGEER-BOOLAVOGUE: All roads lead to The Harrow on Friday evening next for the presentation by the Monageer-Boolavogue Under21 team to their fellow team-mate, Darren Miller, and the Hope Cancer team.
The presentation is the proceeds of the five-a-side soccer tournament held on Sunday week last. A great night's entertainment is planned, with music by Frank & Co, and later D.J. Kevin Brady will entertain the late night revellers. Admission is free and the night kicks off at 9 p.m. sharp.
Vodafone are offering a portion of the costs of mobile telephone calls, either bill pay or ready to go, with the G.A.A. club being the beneficiary when the phone number is registered by the club with the company. This offer costs the phone user nothing and is of great benefit to the club as a fundraiser.
Please forward any mobile number to Mary Carton or any commitee member. A lot of people have subscribed to date, but hopefully we can push this forward and get all members to get family and friends to sign up. All we need is the phone user's permission, name and number and we are in business. Please support this drive and make the effort to get a few phone numbers.
This week's lotto was not won, with the numbers being 4, 7, 23 and 25. Bridget Sinnott was the lucky match three winner.
The draws for the under-age hurling and football were announced this week, with the Under-14s playing in Division 3 in both hurling and football. The Juveniles are in Division 1 in hurling and 2 in football, while the Minors are in Division 4 in both codes.
The indoor gym is getting ready to operate, so members are encouraged to use this facility and tell all people from the community to come along and see the state of the art facilities on offer on your doorstep.

RAPPAREES-STARLIGHTS
Unfortunately, Lady Luck didn't smile on us in the Jim Byrne Cup decided on Sunday last, with the Shelmaliers taking the spoils for the fourth year in a row by a point. At 0-6 to 0-5 this would seem a dour affair, but rather it was a hotly-contested final with neither side able to get away from the other to any great extent.
Indeed, Starlights would have created the greater share of the chances, particularly goal chances, but were unable to finish them. Perhaps, the simply kick or flick over the bar would have been the better option at times, but this team and these forwards are noted for goals and this is not always a bad thing - but on the day it just didn't work for us.
However, on the positive side, this has been a most beneficial preparation for the championship and, despite losing the final, our own Jack Kelly was awarded the man of the match and Diarmuid Cullen emerged as a revelation in defence.
Things to learn and things to do differently, but a spirited, never say die attitude makes this team one to look out for later in the season. Well done to all concerned. Players, mentors, families and other club members returned to the clubhouse where they enjoyed the rest of their Valentine's Day.
Indeed, a very busy Valentine's weekend was had at Bellefield, with Maurice Doran celebrating a big birthday on Friday night among his family and friends. Ivy Dillane and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday night, and we had the Miller/Davitt wedding party on Sunday night.
Well done to Tricia Doyle of The Still who won our fabulous Valentine's hamper in the bar on Sunday night, and to those who checked at our weekly Sunday night game of tombola. This Sunday we have a very special night in the clubhouse, with Stephen Murphy providing the entertainment for our Haiti Disaster fundraiser. No one needs to be told what a deserving cause this is, so we would ask that, despite the recession, you would consider coming out and lending your support to this one.
Look out this week for details of the charity celebrity wannabe - with our own Michael Sullivan representing the club as Frank Sinatra, this promises to be one of the major highlights of the year in Enniscorthy and one definitely to watch out for.
A reminder to all members that membership is now due and can be paid to club Registrar, Tom Boland.
ST. JAMES'
The St. James' G.A.A. club dinner dance will take place on Saturday, February 27, in the Brandon House Hotel. Tickets will cost ¤25 and are now available.

The successful Junior ' D' hurling side and the ladies' football Junior 'A' Leinster champions will be among the teams honoured on the evening.
Well done to Greg Doyle who starred at corner-back on the New Ross District side which defeated the Wexford District line-up in the Shield final of the District competition. Kevin O'Grady was also in action, lining out at corner-forward on the Wexford Under-21 side which was defeated by Gorey in the Cup final at St. Patrick's Park.
TARA ROCKS
In the club lotto draw there was no jackpot winner. Numbers drawn were 1, 2, 5 and 8. The jackpot now stands at ¤2,100, with the next draw in the Bunker Bar tomorrow night (Thursday). The Rock/Ramsfort Park Community Alert intend re-applying for funding for personal alarms, outdoor lighting and locks. If anybody is interested in making an application, please contact a committee member or phone 0858266418 before February 28. Adult players please take note that there is training tonight (Wednesday) in the Rock at 7 p.m. sharp.
M'TOWN-C'DOCKRELL
Training for the adult teams continues in R&R Health & Fitness every Tuesday and Friday at 7 p.m. The training is only for an hour so no-one will be killed in the process. All are welcome.
Club membership is now due and the cost is ¤80 for all Senior players. This has to be paid in the next fortnight and Mitch Jordan is the man resonsible for collecting the membership this year.
The club are trying to gather up as many old photos as possible from our history. Anyone with any old photos, even those going back to the days of the Hollow Rangers, are urged to contact Dermot McManus (086-8169305).
Devlopment draw tickets will be out in the next fortnight, so everyone is urged to try to sell as many as possible. Remember that the majority of the money raised goes back into the club and these funds are vital.
ST. PATRICK'S
Our Under-12 team will be participating in an indoor hurling tournament in the new complex in Castletown on Friday next, commencing at 6 p.m. Helmets must be worn and players must wear either runners, blades or multi-stud boots. Under-12 mentors will be in contact with details.
The Intermediate hurlers and footballers have commenced training over the last number of weeks. Under8s and Under-10s are continuing with their indoor training.
As the lotto jackpot continues to increase, make sure you get your ticket as your support would be greatly appreciated.
For the incoming season all players, adult and under-age, are required to wear an approved helmet. At the moment there are only three makes of helmet approved by Croke Park that cover players for insurance purposes. These makes are Marc, Azzurri and Mycro. If anyone needs to purchase a helmet, please contact team mentors.
HWH-BUNCLODY
Our Minor footballers play St. Martin's in the Cullen Cup final at 2 p.m. in Crossabeg-Ballymurn's pitch on Sunday next. Your support would be appreciated.

The club dinner dance is being held in the Millrace Hotel, Bunclody, on February 26. Being honoured on the night are the Senior football champions of 1985 on the 25th anniversary of their success.
The Bunclody camogie Junior county champions, the Intermediate football league champions and the Junior 'B' hurling league champions are also being presented with their medals.
