Little Johnny Rossiter was the most serene character in Enniscorthy on Sunday, the calm at the centre of a happy family storm. The first born son of Holly Hendrick and John Rossiter was christened on Sunday at St. Senan's church, before snoozing his way through most of the photography and partying that followed.

One of the latest additions to the population at Father Murphy Park, he now has the backing of no less than four godparents Paddy Rossiter, Anita Leacy, Jesamine Hendrick and William McDonald. He was also doted on by grandparents John and Winnie Rossiter, and Anne and Bill Hendrick. Great-grandparents Nancy and Paddy Walsh, John and Maureen Rossiter, and Agnes Hendrick attended too.

Having kept his eyes shut for most of the proceeding in the chapel, Johnny managed to sleep his way through most of the party upstairs in Shenanigans too.
