Thieves target shop in another night raid
OWNERS SHOCKED BY SECOND ROBBERY

Doyle's was the target of a second robbery, days after it was broken into.
THE OWNERS of a Craanford shop are still reeling after they were targeted by late-night thieves twice within weeks. Michael and Eileen Doyle were only putting things back to rights after a break-in on Friday, July 16, when thieves struck again on Thursday, July 29.
It's not known if the same gang was involved, but this time up to five men were believed to have used two high-powered jeeps in the raid, one of which was left at the scene.
The gang rammed the side gate, gaining entry to the rear of the building, where they proceeded to smash in the back door and internal doors.
A small quantity of goods was taken, though the National Lottery scratch cards were not targeted this time. In the last raid, they were the main things taken.
The masked men were interrupted in their rampage by the resident of a neighbouring property, and they fled the scene.
It's believed they may have had a third vehicle waiting nearby.
'If they weren't disturbed by the neighbour, I'd say a lot more damage would have been done,' said Eileen Doyle.
'It happened at exactly the same time as the previous raid, at 4.20 a.m.
'It's very frustrating to have a second attack in less than a week. It has unnerved people in the area to think that they would come back a second time. You're just getting over one incident and then you have another.'
