SKIM through Councillor Michael Sheehan's facebook page, and you'd have to wonder if the local politician has his sights set on greater things than New Ross.
For the Fianna Fail councillor has a few photo-shopped pictures of himself in his public folders on Facebook that allude to his aspirations.
One such picture is an 'Obama-fied' poster of himself, where he uses the trademark graphic imagery used by US President Barrack Obama.
Elsewhere, the super-confident councillor sees himself as something of a super-saviour. How else can he explain super-imposing himself on a picture of Superman!
Enniscorthy Councillor, Jackser Owens, however opts for human strength over comic book heroes for his profile pic.
Bare chested, and sporting a farmer's tan, Jackser's facebook persona shows him flexing his muscle.
With his bare-all attitude the recovering cancer patient, at least on facebook, has nothing to hide.
In Wexford, Cllr. George Lawlor has a variety of faces – mostly due to his onstage antics with Wexford Light Opera Society.
A recent facebook pic, where he sports some heavy duty National Health glasses and a flattened down hair do was taken for the promotion of the recent show he appeared in 'Lords of Love'.
However, those quickly glancing through the pics have to do a double take. For the photo is reminiscent of a certain other politician, circa 1980. Could method-actor George possibly have been channelling Padge Reck for that role?
