The organisation, which ceased operations in the town several years ago, has seen a revival of interest recently with the increase in the population. Following public meetings, twelve leaders have been selected to run beavers, cubs and scout groups.

The enrolment night for boys and girls takes place on Thursday, April 22, in the Scout Hall, Esmonde Street, between 7 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.

Beavers are open to children aged between 6 and 7, cubs for those aged 8 to 10, while scouts are for those aged 11 to 15.
