Sadness at death of Betty Rackard

THE FUNERAL takes place today (Tuesday, December 22) in Rathnure of Betty Rackard (née Ronan), wife of the late hurling star Bobbie Rackard.
Originally from New Ross, she lived with her husband for many years in Killanne where they raised their seven children – Mary, Elizabeth, Bob, Helen, Nicholas, Anna and Christopher. The funeral Mass takes place at St. Anne's church in Rathnure at 12.30 p.m., with interment afterwards in Rathnure cemetery. The family has requested no flowers, with donations if desired to the St. Vincent de Paul society in Enniscorthy.
