CREDIT crunched Wexfordians are using Facebook to make their cash stretch a little farther through three 'Swap n Share' pages.
Gorey, Enniscorthy and Wexford town all have their own social swap shops where people offer their unwanted goods for free or in exchange for something they might want.
As the recession trundles on these pages are very popular with the Wexford Swap N Share attracting 1,964 fans; Gorey, 1,244 fans and Enniscorthy 1,476 fans.
With fast-moving walls every day, offers of free goods are posted on these pages by members, and lots of unwanted items find new homes with grateful owners.
Among the items offered last week were a chest of drawers, a fireguard and even a pink rocking horse.
One desperate debutante went on the page looking for a ' blue and silver handbag' for her graduation, while another clean conscious consumer wanted to swap a TV for a vacuum cleaner.
