Missing man's blood found in boot of car

Wednesday November 11 2009

GARDAI IN Tallaght have revealed that a blood stain was discovered in the boot of the car found along the Gorey bypass in September, and that it is a positive DNA match for missing man Kenneth Fetherston who owned the car.

Gardai have also said that a black handled crutch he was using is still missing. Kenneth Fetherston (26), was last seen at 8.50 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, at a filling station in Tallaght. Gardai now believe his car was abandoned on the southbound layby of the Gorey bypass near Inch sometime later on Tuesday.

Supt. Eamon Dolan of Tallaght Garda Station said they were appealing to anyone who may have seen the car on September 22 to come forward. 'There's nothing to say it drove down the M50 and the N11. There are any number of routes it could have taken,' he pointed out. The red Honda Civic had a distinctive 'For Sale' sign in red lettering in the back window.
