WITH more than 500 million active users, Facebook has taken over the world. It's nearly impossible to have a conversation with anyone these days without the 'F' word being mentioned, as more and more people get face-hooked. Wexford people are happily embracing Mark Zuckerberg's networking phenomenon, and it's hardly surprising when there are 1.5 million Irish facebookers alone.

While most people only joined the site to find old friends or keep in touch with family abroad, more and more people are using facebook as a primary means of communication – connecting at least once or twice a day to the network to update status messages, play games, peruse pictures, highlight causes and while away the hours.

This week we had a look at how Wexford has become hooked on facebook, and examined a tiny sample of the Wexford interest pages that keep the Model County users welded to their Wifi.
