THE COMMUNITY of Monamolin went back to school last week, to see a classroom which they helped pay for.
Last year Monamolin NS received a ¤120,000 grant from the Department of Education to purchase a prefab, which would provide temporary accommodation in the ever-expanding school. However the people of Monamolin clubbed together and did one better, by finding an extra ¤30,000 to build a permanent state-of-the-art classroom which would better service the teachers and pupils at the school.
Said principal, Majella Murphy: ' The local community have always been very supportive of the school. Because of them, and the efforts of the parents council, we have a fantastic new classroom.'
