Community centre becomes a gallery for annual exhibition

FINE ART emblazoned the walls of Colaiste an Atha in Kilmuckridge recently as the local community and family resource centre staged their annual art exhibition.
Wexford Festival chairman, Peter Scallan carried out the official opening of the three day exhibit, which showed paintings by artists including Karla Enright, Helen Fitzpatrick, Roisin Markum, Sussanne D'arcy Gaughan, Joy Shepherd, Una W Kelley, Stanley Hollinshead, Eithne Ryan, Peter Cunningham, Gethyn Gibson, Marie Dunne and Kilmuckridge Art Circl. There were also contributions from other artists including some from the Gorey School of Art. Sculptures by International artist Noel Hoare also on display and local man Myles Walsh, member of the Woodturning Guild of Ireland, displayed his work.
Attracting lots of attention, the exhibition was hailed a tremendous success by all involved with resource centre.
The event this year also included an Art Competition for Junior and Senior pupils of Colaiste an Atha and the winners were: Junior – 1, Patsy Huszar; 2, Stephen Mitten; Senior – 1, Samatha Burke; 2, Max Timmons.
