A BAND OF around twenty young musicians and singers treated shoppers in Gorey Shopping Centre to some Christmas Carols recently as they raised funds for Crumlin Children's Hospital.

They were brought together by Jacqueline Cushe who said they had fiddles, a flute, conga drums, guitars, tambourines and singers on the day. 'People were very generous,' she said, adding that around ¤775 was raised.

There was also a special song from young Jack Cushe, who was fresh from his trip to Croke Park where he led out the Irish soccer team recently.
