IT WAS billed as a 'Victory Dinner Dance' as Craanford Fr. O'Regan's GAA Club gathered in the Ashdown Park Hotel, to celebrate another successful year.

Members of the County Junior Hurling Championship winning team were presented with their medals by Mylie Donohoe, who was a player on the team when Craanford last won the title 40 years ago. Team captain Patrick Murray also said a few words on the evening reminiscing on a successful year for the team.

Peadar Whitty acted as MC on the night. Manager of the winning Junior team Lukie Finn was given a presentation, while thanks were also expressed to former team manager Lar Ronan, who had trained the team for the two previous years, and brought them to the county final in 2008.

Presentations were also made to the football and hurling selectors by the panel of players, and to Joint Treasurer Betty Shortall for organising the evening. A presentation was also made to Assistant Secretary Sinead Donohoe for all her work over the years.

Thanks were also sent to James Doyle (treasurer) and everyone involved with the club's underage section for all the work they are doing.

They also thanked the club's sponsors, The Redmond Brothers, owners of the Amber Springs and Ashdown Park Hotel, for the use of the hotels' gyms by the players during the year.

Thanks were also sent to the Ashdown for a lovely meal and fantastic evening.
