Teddy bears picnic raised ¤300 for Haiti

THE YOUNGSTERS at Puddle Lane pre-school in Ballyca new enlisted the support of their parents last week for a cake sale and teddy bears picnic to raise funds for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
Around ¤300 was raised on the day through donations and the sale of cakes and buns which were made by the parents. 'The parents were really generous,' said Hope Swail of Puddle Lane. 'They did a lot of baking. It was great to see the kids enjoying themselves.'
Thanks were sent to everyone for their hard work and support.
