Nice cup of tea for great cause
CUPS FULL OF piping hot coffee and tea were consumed in the Loch gCarman Arms last week, as locals gathered for a tea party to raise funds for The Diabetes Federation of Ireland.
Roisin Duncan, who organised the event with Anne McCabe, said the day went very well and that she was happy with the turnout. Around 50 to 70 turned up on the day for a cuppa and a chat. Roisin added that they were delighted to have been able to help with such a noble cause and raise ¤780 in total.
Roisin and Anne also thanked to thank all those who turned up to the coffee morning and supported the cause; those who helped out with the baking of the products; Pettit's Supervalu; Unicare; Tomas Kinsella; House 2 Home; Making Faces; The Diabetes Federation of Ireland; and the Loch Gorman Arms for hosting the event.
