MODEL TRACTORS, boats and aeroplanes were among the attractions at the Model Exhibition organised by Carnew Scouts in Colaiste Bhride recently

Carnew Scouts, which has fifty youth members and ten leaders, organised the event to raise funds for the running of the group.

Scout leader Matt Dowling said the day went very well and they raised ¤1,200 which will be of great benefit to the organisation.

This was the first of such fundraising events and Matt hopes that it will become an annual event because of the great turnout.

He thanked Richie Timmins for bringing the exhibition models for the event.

He also thanked Pat Brennan, acting principal of Colaiste Bhride for the use of the school and also to the parents and exhibitors for their support in attending.
