KILMYSHALL NS
Wednesday March 10 2010
The first week of March was a very busy week for Kilmyshall N.S. On Monday March 1 Dr. Betsy Hickey from the Heritage Council of Ireland came to the school and planted Holly, Aspen and Hazel trees with the Infants in the Woodland section of the Sensory Garden which is just coming to life after its winter sleep with the crocus bulbs making a colourful appearance.
The trees were given by Wexford Co. Council to mark National Tree Week which had as its theme 'Twenty TenPlant Again'. The aim of the National Tree Week is to promote an awareness about trees and their care. The Infants in Kilmyshall National School will now be able to enjoy watching their trees grow for the eight years they are in the school.
On Wednesday March 3 the boys participated in the Boys football section of the Mini Sevens where, despite not getting through to the 2nd round, Jordan Hall was 'Man of the Day' stopping some real bullets! On Thursday March 4 it was the girls turn as they outshone Coolgreaney, Caim and Courtnacuddy to qualify for the next round.
