GAA NEWS: Lotto Results: the winning numbers drawn at the lottor draw on Monday16th August were 3,9,21,24 There was no winner so the jackpot next draw 30th August willbe €10,000. Match three winners each received €35 and these included: Mary O'Toole, Ballythomas; Calvin O'Toole, Monaseed; Riain Stephens, The Tobin Family, The Gap; Felix Byrne, Tinnock and Betty Moorehouse, 5 Allenwood Drive, Gorey.
Well done to the Senior footballers who had a good win over Shelmalier in Wexford Park last Sunday on a score line of 114to 1-7. They now go into a draw for the Semi final pairings along with Castletown, Adamstown and St Annes.
The minor footballers had a good win over Glynn Barntown 3-18 to 2-3 and the Juvenile footballers also recorded a win over Bunclody on a scoreline of 4-06 to 210 Both teams are also through to the Semi final stage.
HERITAGE WEEK
As part of heritgage week there will be a talk in Kilanerin Hall on Thursday August 26th at 8 p.m. on soils, rocks and minerals of the area, On Friday there will be a talk on the history of Kilaneirn area in the hall at 8 p.m. and on Saturday there will be a tour of places of historical interest leaving the hall at 2.30 p.m. Admission to talks is free and there will be a €10 charge for the tour to cover bus hire. The field demonstration planned for Sunday has been postponed to a later date.
