GAA NOTES
Wednesday March 10 2010
The under 16 got their championship off the ground on Sunday morning last. They were winning the game until some late enforced changes let Naomh Eanna run out winners by 1-6 to 2-11.
The under 12's had a great day out in Wexford Park on Sunday last as they got the opportunity to play Sarsfields in the half time break of the Wexford Sligo game in football. Under 14's started training this week and most likley will have a game on Sunday morning watch out for text later in week.
While all under age have to wear helmets when playing hurling the only helmets approved by the GAA are Marc, Mycro and Azzuiri. Please check all helmets prior to season start. Also a reminder our underage section will be marching in the 1500 anneversary St Patricks day parade this year more details of times etc closer to the day.
Our adults got their football off to a good start with a 1-14 to 1-7 win over the Volunteers in their first round league game.
Congrats also to Diarmuid Breen, James Sweeney, James Gahan and Ray O'Brien on their recent win as part of the CBS school team which captured the South Leinster football Final
