Our intermediate footballers got the 2010 campaign off to a winning start in a chilly Ballygarret on Saturday evening last.
Both teams started well and exchanged early scores and were very evenly matched until Michael O'loughlin hit the net after 20 minutes. Craanford seemed to step up a gear then and were in control until a goal for the home side just before half time saw the teams level at the break, 1-4 a piece.
The second half got off to a slow start with neither team able to raise a flag for first ten mins. However, Craanford scored 6 points to the home sides 1 in the closing 15 mins. Ballygarret got a late goal to liven up the last few minutes but Craanford held on to win 1-10 to 2-5.

The league continues this weekend against Bunclody, best of luck to all involved. A big thank you from all involved in the club for everybody who supported the dinner dance last week, a great night was had by all. Thanks also to the staff of the Ashdown Park Hotel.
