SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Kathleen Mcevoy nee O'gorman, Ballingate Carnew who died during the week, her remains were removed to Tomacork on Tuesday evening and burial took place on Wednesday. To the family and relatives of Dr. Dabezewski, Carnew Castle who died on Sunday, his remains were removed to Tomacork on Tuesday morning for 11am mass followed by burial.
TRADERS AND FRIENDS AGM
Carnew Traders and Friends AGM will take place on Monday 6th February in Carnew Enterprise Centre at 8pm. All are welcome to attend.
VARIETY NIGHT
The Home First group and Colaiste Bhride students will hold a variety night in St. Bridgets Hall, Carnew on Thursday 2nd Febraury commencing at 8 pm, admission only €6. We look forward to your support on the night.
DINNER DANCE

VINTAGE PLOUGHING MATCH
Carnew Heritage Club are holding their annual vintage ploughing match on Saturday 11th February in Brideswell, contact John on 087-6578761.

SCHOOL OPEN DAY
All Saints National School Carnew are having an open day on Wednesday 8th February from 10 am - 4 pm, enrolements taken, all welcome to come along.
MODEL EXHIBITION
There is a model exhibition on this Sunday 5th February from 11 am - 5 pm in Colaiste Bhride Carnew with 45 different exhibitions including Diarama, railways, Sylvanian families and model windmills, there will be tea served and various different stalls including cakes, face painting and much more, this will be a wonderful family day out, admission ¤5 or ¤10 for a family. Please come along and give them your support as all proceeds will go towards the Concert Band in Colaiste Bhride.
INFORMATION SEMINARS
County Wicklow Partnership will host two Leader Information Seminars in February specially aimed at Community and Voluntary Groups that would like to enchance and improve their local area. The first will be held in the new Annamoe Community Centre (just outside Annamoe on the Laragh Road) on Tuesday 7th February at 7.30 pm and the 2nd will be held in Lawless Hotel, Aughrim on Thursday 9th February at 7.30 pm.
SENIOR SCOR
The County Round of senior scor will be held on Saturday 25th February in The Brockagh Centre, laragh, anyone wishing to take part in any of the sections can contact Emma on 087-2981062.
KILRUSH DRAMA GROUP
Kilrush Drama Group have once again chosen a Martin Mcdonagh play as their festival play "The Lonesome West" is written in tyrical style and is one of his funniest plays, coupled of course with some underlying dark and sad moments, all captured excellently by Director Mick Byrne.

DRAMA FESTIVAL
The South Wicklow Drama Festival runs from Thursday 15th March to Friday 23rd March The South Wicklow Drama Festival Committee are busy preparing for the 2012 Festival which will take place in St Brigid's Hall Carnew from Thursday 15th - Friday 23rd March.
BATTLE OF THE BORDER
Congratulations and well done to all who organised and helped at the Battle of the Border night last Saturday in The Amber Springs Hotel Gorey, the night was a great success, to all who sold tickets, supported and helped in anyway, the sound men and lighting men, video, photographs, stewards and the lads who helped with the training for the night and on the night, to all the boxers, well done. A great night was had by all and well done.
