Ballygarrett Youth Club will re-open on Friday 3rd September 7-30pm to 9-00pm in the Parish Hall. New members welcome.

Little Miss Moffets is a Pre-school opening in Ballygarrett Community Hall in September offering a Montessori education for children over 2 and up to 5 years old.

A major draw has been launched to raise funds for the Community Complex in Riverchapel. Tickets are €20 each or three for €50.

The draw will take place on December 4th in the Taravie Hotel. First prize is a Caribbean cruise for 2 plus spending money, Second prize is €2000 and third prize €1000. GAA NOTES

Pat Neville Go Games: The finals of the Pat Neville Go Games U-10 will be held in Wexford Park Wednesday 25th August (to-night) Vs St James at 6.30pm

Kent Steel Football: On Wednesday night we had the finals of the Kent Steel Football for which we had 2 teams entered. Our first game was against St Pats which was to be our toughest game of the evening.

Star players for this game was Sean Newens, Brendan Corcoran, Arran Hall in goal and Adam Fleming. The boys won the game by 2 points.

The second game Vs Castletown another tough game with Ballygarrett/ Realt na Mara taking the honours, a good game was had by all. Those who played exceptionally well were Sean Wafer, John Higgins, Joe Burke and Johnny Sinnott.

Thanks to Doyle's Bar, Killenagh for serving refreshments after the games. Coaches for the teams were Aidan Wafer, Paddy Doyle & John Sinnott. Both teams were very well balanced and skilful. Hopefully we will see more of those boys in the future. Well done to all

U-14 Boys: Well done to the U-14 hurling team who qualified for the Co. Semi Final.

The Club now caters for U-age girls, U6 U8 U-10 U-12 U-14 U-16 minor, senior and this year we have gaelic for mothers. New members are always welcome
