Active retired join pilot project
GOREY ACTIVE Retirement Association is one of eight groups nationwide that was selected to take part in a pilot project aimed at developing their skills as active citizens.
Pat and Lilly celebrate 50 years of marriage
PAT AND LILLY WHITTY, Tinnock Upper, Gorey, were recently joined by family and friends as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party in the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey.

GOREY HEARTSAFE Group is to be presented with a Heartsafe Town Award by the Irish Heart Foundation on Thursday, February 16, next in the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, at 7.30 p.m. The event will be followed by music and everyone is welcome to join the group in this great celebration.
Reading course
'ENDINGS AND BEGINNINGS' is a literary reading course with Dr Gerard Dineen. It starts on Tuesday, January 31, at 7 p.m. This course should not be missed by those who love literature.

AT THE Creagh Bridge Club on January 10 last, Phil O'loughlin and Margaret Tomkins were first; Kathleen Swords and Margaret Horgan were second; and Eithne Kelly and Sr. Josephine were third. Fourth place went to Martha Leathem and Gay Lambert.
