BABY Emma Greenalgh from Ramsgate Village was the centre of attention last Saturday afternoon, as her Christening took place at St. Michael's Church in Gorey. Her parents Susan and Graham were joined by their family and friends for the big day. Emma's godparents were her cousin Joshua McAnespie, and her aunt Louise Greenalgh. Also enjoying the happy occasion were her grandparents Joan and Noel Plunkett and Martin and Una Greenalgh.

The celebrations took place afterwards in Katie Daly's on Main Street, and delicious food was enjoyed by all.

Speaking afterwards, Emma's mother Susan had a story to tell about the Christening gown used on the day. It was 76 years old, and had been worn 76 years ago by Graham's uncle Denis Maguire, who was also there on the day. 'You'd think it was brand new,' said Susan. 'It was beautiful.'

Susan and Graham thanked all their guests for a wonderful day.
